A Geo Tagged Image

Geolocate this post (will open the location in Googlemaps)
It's usually incredibly accurate with the location. Usually within a few feet if the GPS system is given a 10 seconds or so to home in on the exact location. I did this one in a very rushed manner. Shot it out my window, typed something with it, then posted it all within minutes, but the location seems to be a mile or so off.

Blogging from my iphone
I am simply testing the mail to blog feature of blogger.com and composing an email that will post straight to my blog. Now I can blog from anywhere and publish notes j have made in my iPhone for all to see. Next thing I might do is post a geo-tagged photo I have taken on my iPhone which viewers can then instantly locate on google maps in a single click. Where is technology going to go next?

Go to sleep
3.26 am and Winamp randomly chooses a lovely Radiohead song from the album Hail to the Theif, and upon looking at the title of the song I realise it's called Go to Sleep. I think Winamp is trying to tell me something...

My simple Journal (Simple!)
I have created the simplest blog I possibly can, as it is about writing down my thoughts, ideas, and generally anything that I want to without getting bogged down by anything other than pure journal writing. I have been meaning to get a physical journal for quite some time in order to write down my thoughts, ideas, and just get things off my chest.
In this age what better way to do this than here. The plan right now is to just keep adding away to this blog as and when I feel the urge to type. In a sense I am trying to get to what a blog is really about. I'd heard of blogs for months before I knew the true meaning of the word which is 'web log'.
This journal is all about me. I'm going to try to refrain from writing things for other peoples benefit. I will find plenty of other places to do that. I want to know that if people come here, they are coming here purely because they find the leaking of my thoughts into the world wide web somewhat interesting. How did you end up here? Please leave a comment.
So the plan: (to kind of summarise)
straight on it....
It's getting a little late now. I have been staying up way too late recently. Actually as long as I remember I have stayed up a little past my bedtime. I have decided that it would be best to stick to a routine, and it shouldn't be so hard should it? Well here I am finding yet another thing to do during the early hours. I get distracted all too easily. I spent about 10 minutes customising my new Winamp just earlier on. Now I can change the track, control the volume etc. anywhere from windows, any time using hot keys....
Soo many things to do I just don't know where to start sometimes. Off the top of my head, and not in order of importance by any means here are some of the things I want to get done:
Uni Fashion assigment
my website
my bands website
learn "otherside" by chilis on Drums
buy a new digital camera
buy a new flash gun
buy a replacement film camera
sell a bunch of (no longer useful) things on ebay
tidy a room, and turn it into a studio or office, or both (haven't decided yet)
and the list goes on and on and on...
As for today (well technically yesterday) I picked my Dad up from Blackpool airport, with immaculate timing (35mins driving) as I walked in to the airport with 15mins free parking , and left with 5 mins left, unfortunatley whilst chatting away I took the wrong turning on to the M6 and went half way to the Lake District before arriving at a junction on the outskirts of Lancaster, with the fuel gauge in the red. It was a nice drive though, but it cost a nice chunk of my morning, and a tenner of fuel from a quaint old pump (one of those that just sit uncovered outside what could easily pass off as a barn, with the farmer to match) I nearly had my first visit to the place that will be issuing my degree (Lancaster University), but I actually study in Blackburn. No need to go to Lancaster really.
There isn't really much of a story to my day so I'll finish where I started really... (in bed maybe? suddenly springs to mind. It's 1:20am now!!!!! What am I doing! I'm doing it again, again!!!! I always do it. I stay up later than planned, and think to myself "ok finish what you are doing, and go to bed", so I look at what I wanted to finish -this is good, I'm analysing my faults- and it's something like this: I have between 5 and 14 tabs open in Firefox, I have several folders open on my laptop with different files in each of them that I'm sure I needed to do something with, but can't quite remember what, I suddenly remember I forgot to put that battery on charge, and then back to the laptop, and when I'm just about to get started on what seems a massively unnecessary task just before I go to bed a song comes on Winamp that I really like and as I go to turn it up, I accidentally skip the track. Well I gotta find that track, so I begin to look for it, whilst my eyes are drooping, then it hits me.... What am I doing!!!!!!! enough is enough! Time to switch it off, and switch off.
On that note, I am going to do just that. Goodnight

So the plan: (to kind of summarise)
- Just blog as and when I feel the urge. No pre-planning, or messing around. just do it.
- This journal is personal, but it isn't limited to personal things. (ie. If in my personal time I am concerned with work, then I'll talk about work, but from a personal perspective)
- Everything else I publish is quite painstakingly tarted up until I feel I have used every bit of technical knowledge I have on publishing whether it be a profile, photographs, website, or just a simple bit of text about my self. I tend to re-read a little too much, well not here. Just typing.
- enough bullet points!
